Do I need an App Store Connect or Google Play account to start?
No. Paste any public App Store or Google Play URL and ASOnest imports the listing, current ranks and suggested competitors. Connecting your developer account is optional and only adds first-party download and conversion data.
How is keyword difficulty calculated?
Difficulty is a 0–100 score computed from the apps currently ranking for that term: their rating counts, download momentum, how strongly the keyword appears in their metadata, and how entrenched the top ten is. A new app with 200 ratings and a difficulty-70 keyword is not going to rank, and ASOnest tells you that before you spend a week on it.
