The AutoCMRA homepage

AutoCMRA is a desktop and mobile app built for Commercial Mail Receiving Agencies—pack-and-ship stores, mailbox centers, and copy shops. It automates the entire USPS CMRA compliance workflow, handling USPS Form 1583 onboarding, two-ID verification, quarterly certifications, and automated submission to the USPS Business Customer Gateway (BCG).

The app runs on Windows, macOS, iOS, and Android, with cloud sync across all devices and locations. Records are encrypted end-to-end with AES-256 encryption and row-level security, and the desktop keeps working offline. Features include ID expiration tracking with alerts, audit-ready exports, termination and remail obligation tracking, and multi-location record sharing.

AutoCMRA is designed specifically for counter operations: onboarding takes five minutes, installation under a minute. It includes a 14-day free trial with one pricing plan: $24.99/month or $249/year per store location with unlimited active mailboxes.

Buyer questions

What is a CMRA?

A CMRA (Commercial Mail Receiving Agency) is a private business authorized by the USPS to receive mail and packages on behalf of customers who rent a private mailbox (PMB). CMRAs must register each customer with the USPS and keep USPS Form 1583 on file.

What is USPS Form 1583?

USPS Form 1583 is the form every CMRA must collect from each customer before accepting mail for them. It captures the customer's identity, the business names receiving mail, two forms of identification, and the operator's witnessing signature.

When are CMRA quarterly certification deadlines?

USPS CMRA certifications are due quarterly on January 15, April 15, July 15, and October 15. AutoCMRA runs a pre-flight compliance check before each deadline so you never certify a quarter with expired IDs or missing forms.

Does AutoCMRA store customer data in the cloud?

Yes. Records are encrypted in transit (TLS 1.3) and at rest (AES-256), scoped to your store alone by row-level security, and scanned ID images sit in a private bucket reachable only through signed links that expire. The desktop app keeps its own encrypted copy so the counter works offline. You control ID image retention (14 days by default), and billing data is held separately from customer records.

What platforms does AutoCMRA run on?

AutoCMRA is a native desktop app for Windows and macOS, with an iOS and Android companion app for phone-camera ID capture and on-screen customer signatures.
