CaughtShipping is a desktop application for Mac and Windows that helps you maintain a work-life boundary by monitoring specified work applications after a self-declared curfew time. When your cutoff arrives, the app watches for open work apps and gives you a grace period (default 5 minutes) to close them. If you succeed, your clean-night streak grows. If you fail, your violation is published on the public Blotter.
The app never blocks anything or collects sensitive data. It only tracks which work app is in the foreground and for how long, rolled into hourly totals. It never records window titles, file names, URLs, keystrokes, or screenshots. You can set your curfew between 8 PM and 10 PM, with a minimum 7-hour window ending by 6 AM, and customize your grace period from 1 to 5 minutes. The free tier includes the Wall of Rest (a leaderboard of current streaks), the Blotter (a public list of falls), and basic emergency tools: 2 overrides a month to cancel a countdown and 4 "pause tonight" days to skip monitoring entirely.

Can I cancel my Rested subscription anytime?
Yes, you can cancel with one click from your account page, no retention screen. Canceling stops the next renewal but you keep Rested until the end of the period you already paid for.
