It fetches pages the way ChatGPT Search, Perplexity, and Claude crawlers do—raw HTML without JavaScript execution—and scores what content survives. The tool generates production-ready fix files: robots.txt with retrieval bot permissions, sitemap.xml, llms.txt for AI-readable navigation, and JSON-LD schema. Users can verify fixes with included re-scans. Unlike traditional SEO tools, Crawlable is billed once rather than monthly, and measures AI crawler readability rather than keyword rankings or search visibility.
The service distinguishes between crawlers that do and do not render JavaScript: most AI crawlers fetch raw HTML, while Google's crawler renders pages. This means a site can rank in Google Search but be invisible to AI answer engines. Crawlable uses deterministic HTML parsing with no AI model, makes non-intrusive public GET requests only, and identifies itself as CrawlableBot so sites can opt out.

Is it really true that AI crawlers do not run JavaScript?
Most AI crawlers fetch raw HTML without running JavaScript. Exceptions are Google-Extended and Apple's Applebot-Extended, which do render. GPTBot, OAI-SearchBot, ChatGPT-User, ClaudeBot, Claude-SearchBot, and PerplexityBot fetch raw HTML and parse it, which is why a site can rank well in Google Search but still be absent from AI answers.
How is Crawlable different from an AI visibility tracker?
Crawlable measures whether AI systems can read your site at all and generates fix files, billed once. AI visibility trackers monitor what AI systems say about your brand across prompts, billed monthly. Crawlable answers the foundational question first—whether crawlers can read your site—while visibility trackers answer what those crawlers say about you afterward.
How many pages does a paid audit cover?
Paid audits cover up to 40 pages, sampled across your sitemap to cover your homepage, docs, product and blog rather than 40 similar URLs from one section. For most sites this is enough to identify all AI readability issues because rendering problems are template-level, not page-level.
Does the crawl hurt my site?
No. The crawl consists of at most 40 page fetches at four concurrent connections, plus requests for your robots.txt, llms.txt and sitemap—roughly fifty requests total. This is a fraction of what a single search engine crawl does in an hour, with a polite user agent and per-request timeout.
Can I share a report with a client?
Yes. Every report has its own link that anyone can open without login or account. Clients can read the findings but cannot download the generated fix files, which stay private to your licence.
