The Datasense homepage

Datasense is a lightweight website analytics tool that combines visitor tracking, traffic source attribution, and JavaScript error monitoring in a single dashboard. The analytics script is under 4 KB and can be deployed in minutes without requiring a consent banner by default. It captures uncaught exceptions, unhandled promise rejections, failed assets, and console errors, keeping the latest 100 errors per site. The platform includes a first-party proxy option to track visitors who use ad blockers, supports cookieless tracking, offers CSV and JSON exports, and works seamlessly with single-page applications like Next.js, React, Vue, and SvelteKit.

Buyer questions

How is Datasense different from Google Analytics?

Datasense answers fewer, better questions focused on who's visiting, where they came from, and what broke. It offers no-consent-banner cookieless tracking and a proxy to recover visitors hidden by ad blockers.

Which errors does Datasense capture?

Datasense captures uncaught exceptions, unhandled promise rejections, failed scripts, images and stylesheets, and console.error calls. Each site keeps its latest 100 errors with stack trace, page, and browser information.

How do you count unique visitors?

By default, Datasense uses a random ID stored in a first-party cookie on your domain to recognize returning visitors for up to 400 days. For cookieless sites, it hashes a daily salt with the site ID, visitor's IP and user agent instead, keeping raw IPs off disk.

What data can I export?

Raw events and errors for any date range can be exported as CSV or JSON. Large exports stream automatically so they don't time out.

Does it work with single-page apps?

Yes. Datasense automatically counts route changes in Next.js, React Router, Vue and SvelteKit as pageviews without requiring extra code.
