Why isn't there a free plan?
Frenemy's only revenue is from subscriptions, which aligns incentives so the vendor is focused on being worth it. Free analytics products typically monetize by selling user data. The 14-day free trial provides full access to all observe and blocking features without requiring a credit card.
When can I actually block?
Enforcement is opt-in and only ships after you have observe data proving the classifications work on your own traffic. The ACT tier's dry-run shows exactly what every rule would have done, so you can decide with confidence before enabling live blocking.
If I go over my plan's limit, do you stop protecting me?
No. Enforcement never stops or samples and runs on every request regardless. The limit only affects how many individual bot events are stored for drill-down analysis; totals and the dollar ledger stay exact.
Is it safe? Can Frenemy break my site?
Frenemy is designed to fail open — if it goes down, your site continues normally without depending on the service. Verified search engines are never blocked by default, enforcement is opt-in and off until you turn it on, and everything can be turned off with one switch.

Frenemy works on Shopify, Cloudflare, Next.js/Vercel, and WordPress. You can check compatibility by entering your domain—no sign-up required. The system reads public signals like DNS records and server response headers. Installation takes about 5 minutes.
