Many page builders tie your content to their own format. Page Builder Sandwich is a WordPress page builder that avoids this by saving ordinary WordPress blocks instead of shortcodes or a private format, so WordPress, your theme and your SEO plugin can read your pages whatever you install next. Build in the normal block editor, or use Sandwich Studio, a full-screen visual editor with a layers panel, undo history, a command palette and keyboard shortcuts.
A page loads only the styles for its own blocks, from your uploads folder, with neutral class names and no generator tags. A measured test page gained +0.5 kB and made 0 requests to other companies' servers. While you build, a free accessibility checker points out missing alternative text and weak colour contrast.
The free plugin offers 44 blocks and 20 website kits. Pro adds 68 blocks and 8 kits, plus a form builder, popups, A/B tests, a theme builder, a design system, a WooCommerce store builder and imports from Elementor, Divi, Beaver Builder, WPBakery and Figma. Its MCP server, with 150 tools, lets AI agents such as Claude, ChatGPT and Cursor assemble pages.
