Sigil is a SaaS application for Microsoft 365 that centralizes email signature management through an Outlook add-in. It personalizes signatures from your directory for every mailbox, applying them automatically as users compose, reply to or forward messages, without modifying mail flow or requiring server-side configuration.
The platform offers a block-based drag-and-drop designer for non-technical users and a full HTML editor for power users. Admins can set assignment rules by department, office, domain or Entra group; add time-boxed campaign banners and compliance footers; and publish changes to gradual rollouts with automatic rollback if adoption metrics drop.
Every render and apply is logged, so admins can prove adoption across the organization via per-mailbox activity reports, never-applied lists, and directory coverage audits. Sigil runs on Cloudflare's edge, supports Outlook on Windows, Mac, web, iOS and Android, and costs £0.70 per licensed mailbox per month with a 14-day free trial.

How is Sigil different from Exclaimer or CodeTwo?
Sigil uses a client-side Outlook add-in approach that applies signatures as users write, never touching mail flow or requiring server-side routing. Changes publish to users within seconds. It costs £0.70 per mailbox per month with every feature on one plan, and shared mailboxes are free. Sigil also shows which mailboxes have actually applied their signature.
How do users get their signature?
Once an admin deploys Sigil through Microsoft 365, the add-in runs automatically whenever a user composes, replies to or forwards a message. It silently signs in the user with their Entra ID, renders their personalized signature, and inserts it. Users do not need to click anything or perform any setup.
Where does the personalization come from?
Sigil reads each user's directory attributes from Microsoft Graph with read-only access, including name, job title, phone, address, department, manager and up to 15 custom extension attributes, then merges them into your template. Conditional sections automatically hide fields a user doesn't have.
How quickly do changes reach everyone?
Microsoft controls initial deployment, which can take up to 24 hours for every user or up to 72 hours for later add-in updates. After that, Sigil delivers template edits in seconds because publishing invalidates the cache and users get the new signature on their next message. Assignment-rule changes propagate within about 10 minutes.
What happens if I don't add a payment method before my trial ends?
If you don't add a payment card before day 14 of your free trial, signatures stop being applied and nothing is charged.
