Strata

See what is taking up space on your Mac, and clear it in a way you can undo.

A native macOS disk space analyzer that maps your entire drive in seconds, shows what is using the space, and removes items in a way you can undo.

Overview

The Strata homepage

Strata is a native macOS application that visualizes your drive's space usage with a treemap, showing exactly what is consuming storage. It scans your entire Mac in under a minute and displays measurements of real files, not estimates.

The app provides tools to reclaim space: users can remove app leftovers from deleted applications, clear caches and logs, find and remove duplicate files, and clean up junk files. All removals go to the Trash and can be undone with one click through Put Back or from Recently Removed for up to 90 days.

Strata includes a free version with viewing capabilities and a Pro version for $5 (launch price for first 200 buyers, then $9.99) with full removal features. It operates completely offline with no account, telemetry, or uploads. Every feature is available free for 14 days from first launch.

Capabilities

  • Space Map: visualize entire drive at true scale
  • App uninstaller with leftover cleanup
  • Junk file cleanup and optimization
  • Duplicate file finder and search
  • AI Data Sweeper for AI models
  • System resource monitor
  • Reversible removal with Put Back
  • Full-volume scan in under one minute

Buyer questions

Why does Strata need Full Disk Access?

macOS hides Mail, Messages, Safari and other apps' data from any app that has not been granted Full Disk Access. Without it Strata still scans but those folders are invisible and totals come out short. The permission is optional and nothing is uploaded.

Does Strata delete anything permanently?

No. Everything goes to the Trash and stays there until the Trash is emptied. Strata's Put Back returns items in one click from Recently Removed for 90 days. If a disk has no Trash, removal fails and tells you rather than deleting permanently.

Is there a free trial?

Yes. Every download starts with 14 days of everything in Strata Pro, removing up to 40 GB, with no account, no card and nothing to cancel. After that Strata keeps working as the free version with viewing only.

Is Strata Pro a subscription?

No. Strata Pro is a one-time purchase that does not expire. Bug fixes, security fixes and macOS compatibility updates are free forever, whatever you paid.

What data does Strata collect?

None. No account, no telemetry, no analytics, no crash reporting. The only network requests are Strata's own updates: a small check once an hour and download of new versions.
