A free, unauthenticated API that exposes Vooks' library of children's animated storybooks and pricing information for integration into agents and applications.

The Vooks Public Catalog API homepage
Vooks Public Catalog API provides programmatic access to Vooks' catalog of animated read-along storybooks, audiobooks and ebooks for children ages 2 to 8, along with published subscription pricing information. The API requires no authentication for catalog reads and does not require an API key, form submission, or quota application.
The API offers multiple endpoints for searching and filtering titles by age, topic, language and other criteria; fetching individual titles with full descriptions; retrieving topic facets; accessing published subscription plans and trial terms; and performing batch operations. Catalog exports require OAuth 2.0 authentication with the catalog:export scope.
Read requests have a rate limit of 600 requests per minute, which increases to 3,000 requests per minute with a valid token. The API follows semantic versioning with breaking changes shipped as new major versions, and previous versions receive at least 180 days of support after deprecation.

Free with rate limit of 600 requests per minute. Optional OAuth 2.0 token available to increase rate limit to 3,000 requests per minute.

Do I need to authenticate to use the API?
No. Read requests require no authentication, API key, form submission or quota application. You only need a token to perform bulk catalog exports using the catalog:export scope, which you can obtain with a single anonymous call.
What is the rate limit?
Read requests have a rate limit of 600 requests per minute per client. This increases to 3,000 requests per minute if you obtain an optional OAuth 2.0 token. The limit is enforced per Cloudflare edge location rather than globally.
What filtering options are available for searching titles?
You can filter by age (a child's age in whole years), topic, language, audio format, and sort criteria. The API also supports full-text search with the q parameter and pagination with cursors.
Does the API provide personal user data or playback credentials?
No. The API deliberately does not expose personal data, account data, playback credentials, video stream URLs or per-user state such as favorites and watch progress. Watching titles requires a Vooks subscription at watch.vooks.com.
