How much does a permit row cost?

Each row costs 7 cents after viewing the free count. The first ten rows per month are free. Payment is by card for spreadsheets or by USDC wallet for API calls.

Do I need an account?

No. There is no account, login, or password. Card payments generate a link holding your rows, and wallet payments are processed per API call.

Where does the data come from?

The data comes from permit records published by building offices through their portal, open-data feed, or records requests. Each row names the issuing office and the date it was read.

Can an AI agent or program use it?

Yes. The service provides one schema at api.whitetape.io, an OpenAPI file, a Python client installed via pip, an MCP server, and llms.txt for AI assistants.
