The CheckoutAlarm homepage

CheckoutAlarm monitors web applications and their Stripe payment accounts. It checks that your page loads correctly and that Stripe is delivering payments successfully. The service emails you when problems occur.

You verify site ownership first using a DNS record, meta tag, or file upload. The tool then performs scheduled checks: on the Free plan, it checks your site and Stripe once daily; on Pro, it checks up to 3 sites and Stripe hourly. CheckoutAlarm alerts you after two consecutive page failures or the first Stripe problem, and again when it recovers.

Unlike basic uptime monitors, CheckoutAlarm uses a read-only Stripe key to detect when payments fail silently—when your page loads fine but webhooks aren't delivered, endpoints are disabled, or sales have stopped. It doesn't run a browser, take screenshots, or simulate transactions.

Do you sign up or pay on my site?

No. CheckoutAlarm loads one page and reads Stripe with a read-only key. It does not fill in forms or start a checkout.

Can you change my Stripe account?

No. A read-only key cannot charge, refund, or delete anything. You can turn it off in Stripe at any time.

How do alerts reach me?

Alerts are sent by email. You receive one when a problem is detected and one when it is fixed.

Do I still need an uptime monitor?

Maybe. Uptime monitors like UptimeRobot and Better Stack watch many pages, check more often, and provide status pages. CheckoutAlarm adds monitoring of your Stripe account. You can use both.

What does it cost?

Free plan: one app checked daily. Pro plan: $19 a month for up to 3 apps checked hourly.
