exy.sh API is a REST API with an OpenAPI document that lets developers order and manage servers programmatically. You can price servers with quotes, order them, renew or upgrade existing servers, start or stop instances, set login passwords, and manage firewall rules with presets and inbound allow rules.

The API supports snapshots and backups, allowing you to take, restore and delete them, and schedule tasks for servers. Webhooks notify you when servers are ready, suspended, unsuspended or terminated, or when orders are refunded, with every delivery signed using HMAC-SHA256. The API has a base URL at https://api.exy.sh/v1, uses bearer token authentication, and enforces a limit of 60 requests per minute per account.

How do I authenticate with the exy.sh API?

Authentication uses a bearer token that starts with exy_, limited to the scopes you select. The token expires after at most 365 days. You can create the token under Settings → API in your dashboard.

What are the rate limits for the exy.sh API?

The API enforces a limit of 60 requests per minute per account, across all of its tokens. Requests exceeding this limit receive a 429 response with a Retry-After header.

What languages and frameworks are supported?

The TypeScript SDK is available on npm for use on Node.js 22 or newer. An MCP server is also provided for AI agents such as Claude Code, Claude Desktop and Cursor.

Will the API maintain backward compatibility?

Within /v1, the API only adds endpoints, optional fields and response fields. Any breaking changes will come as /v2.
