The tsrelay homepage
tsrelay is streaming server software that runs on your own Linux hardware. It distributes media sources without modification when they are clean, or fights to restore damaged streams through PCR rebuild, gap splicing and discontinuity absorption when they are not. The result is a clean, TV-grade channel with fast zapping across any platform.
The software comes as one binary with a plain-text config and arrives empty—no channels, playlists, sources or subscriptions included. You supply your own content, licensed or owned by you, and run the server entirely on your own infrastructure. Viewers can connect via set-top boxes, player apps, or standard playlists, with multiroom support so each device maintains its own viewing state.
Key capabilities include invisible reconnects that hide brief upstream interruptions, PCR rebuild and remuxing for device compatibility, multi-source failover, time-shift recording and pause-live functionality, online radio, a web player, a set-top portal, parental controls, client management, and VOD support. The software is in public beta and free during the beta period.

What am I paying for?
A licence for the server software, sized by how many viewers can watch at the same time across all of your servers together. The software runs on your own hardware and nothing else is included: no channels, no content, no hosting.
Is there a device or user limit?
No. Registered users, devices, channels and content are unlimited; the figure a licence is sized by is viewers watching at the same time, and that pool is shared by every server on the licence.
Do I need a card or an account to try it?
No. During the beta anyone can request a trial with just an email address. A human check is performed, you confirm the link sent by mail, and the token arrives with a one-line installer that installs and redeems the server in one go.
What if your licence server goes down?
Your server keeps serving. An installation that cannot reach the licence server enters a grace period: streams continue, the panel stays open, and our own downtime is not held against you. Your channels, configuration and subscribers live only on your machine.
