Buyer questions
How does AI call screening work?
When an unknown number reaches your FilterMyCalls screening line, the AI asks the caller for their name and reason for calling. You see the details the caller provides on your screen and can choose to answer or decline while the caller is held for a limited decision window.
Does FilterMyCalls verify a caller's identity?
No. FilterMyCalls reports the name and reason the caller states, which provides context to help you decide whether to answer, but it is not identity verification. You should independently verify any caller asking for money, passwords, codes, or sensitive information.
How does FilterMyCalls protect against spam?
FilterMyCalls includes Spam Shield with Standard and Strict modes, one-tap Block, and Always Allow for trusted callers. In Strict mode, corroborated spam callers are automatically hung up before answer. Reports improve the reputation network using privacy-preserving hashed identifiers, though no system catches 100% of unwanted calls.
What happens if I decline a call or don't respond?
If you decline or don't respond before the decision window ends, the caller is told you are unavailable. When Take messages is enabled, the caller can be offered the option to leave a message; otherwise the call ends politely.
How much does FilterMyCalls cost?
United States web pricing is about $8 per month or $80 billed annually. Canada pricing is shown in CAD before purchase. Applicable taxes and any charges from your mobile carrier may apply. FilterMyCalls does not bill per call or add overage charges.
