FranklyMail is an email hosting service that lets you use your own domain with unlimited mailboxes, domains, and aliases for $9 per year. The service includes 10 GB of pooled storage, with additional storage available at $0.40/GB per year. It supports standard protocols like IMAP and JMAP, allowing access through any email client without vendor lock-in.
The platform includes built-in email migration tools that work with Gmail, Fastmail, iCloud, Yahoo, Zoho and other IMAP hosts, preserving folder structure, read status, flags and original dates. Users can add a calendar through FranklyMail Calendar, which supports CalDAV and can be accessed via webmail or dedicated app.
FranklyMail offers an Agentic Inbox feature that integrates with Claude or ChatGPT to help find emails, draft replies and catch up on messages. The service deliberately does not support bulk email sending to keep IP reputation clean for one-to-one mail. It provides domain registration for $29 a year, with all domains registered in the user's name.
The company emphasizes privacy with no ad scanning, profiling, data resale or use for training. Users can export all mail via IMAP at any time, and receive a full refund if they cancel within 30 days.

What's included in the $9 annual price?
The $9 annual price includes unlimited mailboxes, unlimited domains, unlimited aliases with catch-all, and 10 GB of pooled storage across all mailboxes. Additional storage beyond this pool costs $0.40/GB per year. This pricing model is based on what the service actually costs to provide (storage and outbound volume) rather than per-seat pricing.
Can I migrate my email from Gmail or another provider?
Yes, FranklyMail has a built-in importer that works with Gmail, Fastmail, Purelymail, iCloud, Yahoo, Zoho and any standard IMAP host. You provide your old server's address, select which folders to import, and the service copies everything with read state, flags and original dates preserved. Microsoft 365 and Proton block password access, but the migration guide explains alternatives.
Can I use my own domain or do I need to register one?
You can use any domain you already own from any registrar. If you don't have a domain, FranklyMail will register one for you for $29 a year, registered in your name with email set up and ready to use within one business day. You remain the legal registrant and can move the domain to another registrar whenever you want.
What happens if I cancel or want to switch to another service?
All email is accessible via IMAP, which means you can export your entire archive at any time with no lock-in. You receive a full 30-day refund if you cancel within the first month. After that, you can cancel renewal at any time from the billing screen and service continues until the paid period ends.
Is my email private and secure?
FranklyMail does not scan email for ads, profile users, resell data, or use email to train anything. Two-factor authentication via TOTP is available along with per-device app passwords. The service is designed for privacy from the start.
