Napless is a macOS menu bar app that prevents your Mac from sleeping while you're working. It keeps your Mac awake through long downloads, builds, renders, meetings, calls, and AI agent runs like Claude Code or Codex. Once the work finishes, Napless automatically lets your Mac sleep.
The app shows which task is keeping your Mac awake in the menu bar and can verify that macOS is actually holding the Mac awake through Check Health. It includes safety features to stop when the Mac gets too hot or battery runs low.
Napless offers a 7-day free trial with no account or card required. After that, Napless Pro costs $8 for the first 50 customers (founding price), then $24 for a one-time lifetime license that works on up to 3 Macs. Pro features include automatic keep-awake for various conditions, AI agent mode for 17 coding agents, Insights, alerts on Telegram and Slack, and the ability to keep chat apps active.

Yes. A new install starts a 7-day trial of everything, Napless Pro included, the first time you open it. No account, no card, and nothing to click.
What happens after the trial?
You need Napless Pro to keep the Mac awake. Your settings stay, and buying turns everything back on. Napless shows a Get Napless Pro window when the trial ends, when you click a Pro feature, and as a reminder 2 days before and on the last day.
How much is Napless Pro?
$8 for the first 50 licenses (the founding price), then $24. You pay once for a lifetime license on up to 3 Macs; there is no subscription.
What do I get with Napless Pro?
Automatic keep-awake for downloads, calls, meetings, presenting, apps, VPN, drives and USB devices, your desk and a schedule; watches for files, apps and Terminal jobs; keep-awake while commands or local servers run; Insights; alerts on Telegram and Slack; suggestions from your own habits; Shortcuts actions that wait for an app or a download, and Focus filters; AI agent mode for 17 coding agents, and agent holds through napless mcp; Keep chat apps active; and the Time Machine trigger.
I installed Napless before 1.5. Do I have to pay?
Not for the features you already have. Macs that installed Napless before 1.5.0 keep those free features, such as timers, Keep Awake Until and presets. Pro features still need Napless Pro.
